Fucc yeah, shit look 🔥
How did you stitch the yamaha logo onto the gas tank?
is it for sale because I would trade it for a harley street glide st 2022
Should go belly pan. Something about no belly pan takes away from symmetry of sport bike. Naked bike still needs belly pan to create that point under the radiator
We played around with belly pans, but couldn’t find one or create a shape that suited the retro styling. They all made the bike look too modern
Had a new 77 tt500. Then i bought an 86 sr500 in 1990. Still have it. I consider them one of the best bikes ever.
In case anybody is confused this is an Interceptor 650 (on the side panel) What is strange is that mine has both in the log book Thanks for the video
Aaaay yupp Stu baby!
Kind of overkill to cut and fabricate the rear fender...when there are off the shelf replacements no? 🙃
Hi Brian, We're a custom fabrication shop, nice to meet you.
Nice job guys!!
Any tuning required or the exhaust?
Its recommended but not necessary
WeII, she sure is pretty.
What’s the name of the exhaust?? Awesome sound 🔥🔥
Those are our PBM Torpedo mufflers check them out here: purposebuiltmoto.com/collections/mufflers
meownting bolts ))
Don;t hate us because we're australian, theres plenty of better reasons.
@@PurposeBuiltMoto i love you
Even though the pipes look great all cbx's should have 6 into 1 by law 😊
Really nice work 👍👍👍👍👍👍
03:59 :) ProTaper Contour Handlebar Henry/Reed (1 1/8) By the way with "Renthal Bar Mounts 1-1/8", which Vehicle Make/Vehicle Model/Offset did you choose because officially doesn't fit RE INT650
All you guys need now is a time machine and you can sell this set up to compaines in the 60s and make a mint.
Awesome!
Awesome I have always wondered what happens to the bucket of spaghetti when you install the LED Headlights.
These lights are way to small. They are so close to the bodywork they can be obstructed at certain angles making it impossible for other road users to see they are even on. There is a reason proper indicators have stand offs to push them away from the bodywork. As a result these indicators are a safety hazard for the rider and should be avoided.
Strange they’ve been selling like hotcakes then. Our riders can mount them however they like for safety and compliance purposes
Professional and informative video. Great product as always. 👍🏻
If you are messing up stripping those wires all the time, perhaps try a set of wire strippers. That technique has its place, but you are not an electrician and that's not a house!
Also consider the NT-040 connectors (you can buy them from Eastern Beaver) in 2 and 3 pin types. You won't have to do any weird stuff to the bare wire, just crimp it twice (conductor and insulation). If you have a look on their site you will also see they have JST connectors if you prefer a sealed connector. The profile of the NT-040 will go through a mounting hole though which is very handy for things like indicators with a single mounting point.
Well I am an electrician, and the wire strippers tend to damage cables this small. This technique is the best I’ve found for everyday users, to make the proper connection with terminals readily available outside the trade
@@PurposeBuiltMoto Sorry I wasn't meaning to imply "You're no electrician buddy", just that this isn't a house and you're not doing a house electricians job so maybe the house electrician way of stripping the wires isn't the best. I strip a lot of 28-32AWG wires with a wire stripper and I never have to do them over, and it really matters if it's a ribbon of a few dozen of them! I would really encourage you to find some fine wire strippers and give those JST or NT040 connectors a look too. They're easy to fit and rated for automotive use.
Curious of why the step down from 18" (the interceptor runs 18s if I'm not mistaken?) to 17" on the wheels? Doesn't that mess with the ABS and speedo? I installed a 120/90 front tire (110/70 stock) on my Hunter and even that sidewall change completely threw off my speedo\abs, so I had to go do down back to 120/70 scorpions (which sadly look like sausages compared to a 120/90 heidenau k60 scout)
gloves .gloves.gloves. safety first...........
Nice!
How much to build me one??
Send us an email and we can talk over your build
Very nice bike
Some interesting aspects to this bike. My Honda Innova (ANF125) has a tail tank like that one. I like the change of wheels / change of style, I might try that myself (on the Innova!), also the easy luggage removal. Was the handling so bad that it had you all over the road like that? Not good..
What is the colour of the bike?
Its not GT 650 its interceptor
Love it
Nice work as always. The fork is overpriced. New aftermarket oldstyle Springer comes for 2200€ here in Europe.
That is so cool, when it’s slammed sex on wheels.
Cheers Dave, we will have to test it with the compressor soon
It has been my first bike back then… in 91… I was 18… and my brother had bought it in 83…. To me… « it’s not a scrambler »😁… We call it only a trail bike… I’m teasing you…. Today I have this perfect Ninety Scrambler… but I’m thinking purchase the perfect 2nd one… this XT250…. So much good memories….
I used to own that bike. Best one hands down I've owned, and I've had many. Was bulletproof.
I just never going to get it, cafe racer bikes, they take beautiful original bikes and conver it in this ugly thing, from beautiful original bikes to this disgusting transformation. Please please please stop butchering original beautiful vintage bikes....cafe racer bikes look like absolute garbage to be honest!!!!! So sad....
Hey dude it looks gorgeous. Was wondering if the brackets support the factory indicators?
If the factory indicators use m8 fasteners then they will also work yes
@@PurposeBuiltMoto thanks for the reply.
what's the size of the new rear tyre and rims Sir? Here in the Philippines, we have a Motorstar Cafe 400, same as that bike. We also customize that into scrambler built, but mine is a Triumph TR6 desert sled inspired build. I love this bike.
Sir What is exhaust name u installed
It’s our torpedo muffler
Anywhere we can buy these parts for this bike?
I'm not gonna get on your back about adding the electric start. If that one is like my buddy's '78 the process to line up the magic decompression mark and diddling around with it so you can kick it over.... it's to be avoided.
Anyone with an XT500 will understand that mod
This looks amazing. Has me looking at my dad's old '77 TT500 in my backyard differently. I'd love to do something even half as nice with it.
No better time to start than now!
How much inspiration did you take from Max Hazan's 950SMR? I see some similarities.
Love maxs work, but I wouldn’t say it inspired this build.
nice! What helmet are you wearing?
Nice job. How long to complete the install and how much to buy the kit?
You can check out the products here. purposebuiltmoto.com/collections/motorcycle-led-headlights Install for us usually takes around 90 mins
@12:53 who's that hiding behind the bike????????
Bis auf den Auspuff gefällt es mir optisch sehr gut.Greetings from Germany!
Two things that would be necessary for a REAL scrambler; one: bring that exhaust up where it wont get destroyed off roading, two: pod filters???? are you kidding? have fun cleaning your carbs out after every dusty ride and don't take it near water or rain.
supe sweet bike. My bro gave me, more like he owed me cash. A 1978 Honda cb350, my first ever project bike and looking around for some ideas and parts.
Make sure you check out our blog on our website man, we've done several cbs.
And how is it to drive on for more Then a short ride downtown 😊
You'll have to ask the owner that rides it down the great ocean road most weekends....
